Ardbeg Blaaack Committee Release is a bold, limited Islay malt that takes Ardbeg’s signature peat smoke and wraps it in a darker, richer cloak. Bottled at 50.7% ABV and made for the Ardbeg Committee, it’s an intense yet beautifully balanced dram—smoky, fruity, and deeply satisfying from start to finish.
The nose delivers waves of bonfire smoke and coastal brine, lifted by ripe dark berries, vanilla, and sweet spice. On the palate it’s thick and punchy: peat smoke, blackcurrant-like fruitiness, toasted oak, cracked pepper, and a touch of earthy sweetness that rounds everything out. The finish is long and smoky, with lingering fruit, spice, and that unmistakable Islay edge.
